Zemismart

A large range of curtain and roller motors, blind drivers and switches, mostly built on the Tuya platform. The Zigbee models are the useful ones, and for motorised window coverings they are frequently the best value available in Singapore.

Why we use Zemismart

  • The Zigbee curtain and roller motors pair with our own coordinator and run locally.
  • Strong track motors at a fraction of the price of the specialist blind brands.
  • A wide range of formats, including motors that retrofit to existing tracks.
  • Readily available here, with reasonable lead times.

Where we do not, and why

  • Tuya firmware underneath, so behaviour varies between models and occasionally needs per-model handling.
  • The Wi-Fi models in the range are cloud-dependent and we do not specify them.
  • Support is thin. What you get is the hardware, not a relationship.
  • Calibration can be fiddly and sometimes needs redoing after a power cut.

Our usual answer for motorised curtains in HDB and condo projects, specified in Zigbee form. The critical planning item is a power point at the correct end of the track, which has to be decided before the carpenter builds the pelmet.

What do I need to plan before installing motorised curtains?

A power point at the right end of the track, and enough depth in the pelmet or curtain box for the motor. Both are trivial before the carpentry is built and expensive afterwards.

Do Zemismart motors need the Tuya app?

The Zigbee ones do not. They pair directly with your own coordinator and never touch Tuya's servers. We do not specify the Wi-Fi versions.
