Why we use Dreame

  • Excellent hardware value, particularly the mopping and self-cleaning docks.
  • Basic control and status work reliably through the integration.
  • Widely available in Singapore at competitive prices.

Where we do not, and why

  • Room-level control and map data are less consistently exposed than Roborock.
  • Cloud-dependent, with regional server behaviour that has caused problems.
  • The integration is community-maintained and moves with vendor API changes.

Fine where a client already owns one or wants maximum hardware per dollar and only needs start, stop and status. Where the vacuum should be a real participant in automations, Roborock is the safer choice.

Is Dreame as well integrated as Roborock?

No. Basic control works, but room-level cleaning and map data are less consistently available. If you want the vacuum driven by automations, Roborock is the more dependable choice.

Is Dreame hardware worse?

Not at all - the machines are often better value, particularly for mopping. The gap is in software integration, not in cleaning.
